today is my High School's 50th Aniversary and reunion..... they have invited all students and teachers from the last 50 years to come to an open house... i didn't have the greatest time in high school, lots of violence, weapons and stuff going on there at the time... Me being the biggest guy in the school was always having to put up with a group of loud mouths trying to fight me... never one on one.... and of course some of them were armed with knifes... It was like a jail as it was the school that housed all the bad apples that got kicked out of North York's section of Toronto schools... last resort education for some of these bad a$$es.... I basicly quit school in grade 12 because of the growing violence... I ended up finnishing off my grade 12 in another high school in Scarborough that was almost just as bad as the last one, but not quite

anyways after all these years i should be going back for the open house.... the dance was last night but today is the open house... It's with all these memories of 20 year old violence i'm heading back to the place.... I've seen guns and knifes, i saw 2 girls stab each other, i've seen glue sniffers walking around in Toronto rush hour traffic, i've seen students acid trips go wrong, i've seen students and teachers beaten up.... I even saw a teacher beat up a student and put him thru a window... It almost seems my school invented Swarmings....

Should be interesting going back all these years later and maybe bump into a few i went to school with....

man i'm beat... my uncle is in poor health so on Wedensday we flew up to Huntsville to visit him in the hospital... he has been in there for months with a broken hip and i do not think he'll ever get out... he is old and week and has developed other problems in the hospital long term care unit... So i took my mom up to see her Brother.. Yesterday she spend a few hours with him and decided she should come home for a few days... Which was good in a way as i had tickets to the Q107 radio stations Aniversary Concert last night... HDK got them for me....

But as it turned out i didn't need tickets after all.... i ended up on the guest list thru a friend.. so we had 5 extra tickets go to waste... Run into a few people i knew last night outside of the normal Kim Mitchell fan base.... Newmarket/Bradford locals The Salads opened the show.... these guys have always been great musicians.. last night they stuck to a few Van Halen great cover tunes... plus their 40 songs in 2 1/2 minutes thing that can be cool to see!!!!

All the acts were good in their own ways but Max Webster was what everyone was there to see.... That line up of Max had not played on stage since 1989.... but that was for an awards show.... before that they had not played since 1977! It was a real treat seeing the best line up of Max play their tunes like In Context With The Moon and Toronto Tonto's!!!!! Thought i'd never see that day!!!!

Chris
